Murlan Card Game 16

Rules of the Game:

• The game employs a standard deck of poker cards, including the Joker.
• The cards are shuffled and dealt to the four players.
• The objective is to deplete cards first, with point values assigned to each hand.
• The game proceeds until a player reaches 21 points or beyond, with additional rounds played if necessary.
• If multiple players reach the goal simultaneously, the point threshold advances in increments of 10.
• Card hierarchy from lowest to highest: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, 2, Black Joker, and Red Joker.
• Possible card combinations include singles, pairs, triplets, quadruplets of the same value, and straights of at least five cards.
• Straights can comprise cards of any suit but must be in ascending order.
• An Ace and a 2 can be used in straights with descending values.
• The game commences with the player holding the 3 of spades initiating the first round.

• In subsequent rounds, the player who finished first last time swaps a card with the player who finished last in the previous round unless both players received Jokers.
• The starting player for each round can discard any card or combination of their choice.
• The highest-ranking cards are Aces, 2s, Black Jokers, and Red Jokers.
• Players must match both the number of cards thrown and the combination played by their predecessor with at least one higher-ranking card.
• A straight can only be surpassed by another straight with a higher value set of cards.
• Four-of-a-kind trumps any other hand and can only be defeated by a higher-ranking set of four-of-a-kind cards.
• If a player cannot make a move or chooses to pass, their turn ends.
